Do you ever feel like the enemy knows everything that God is going to do? Like every time you’re getting the idea of the way God is moving, and you’re thinking “Things are coming together,” Satan has come in and pushed you down! Face to the ground, dirt in your mouth, complete blow. We ask ourselves how is it that he knows God’s plan? Well, he doesn’t. He only knows two things: What WE put into the atmosphere, and God’s pattern. Not PLAN, pattern.
What YOU speak out loud
Satan is unable to read our thoughts, but if allowed, he can influence them. It’s imperative that we gain control over our thoughts. Since he cannot read our them, he figures the next best thing is to alter them. Make us think wrong. Cause us to think things that goes against God. Now, by me saying “goes against God,” don’t think I mean making you hate God. Rather, his tactic is to cause you to mental dwell of the things that GOD is against. Just like God HATES our sin, but LOVES us. God does not hate US, but rather the sin. So, the thoughts that develop, that are orchestrated by the enemy, are planted in your mind to try to create division between you and God.
God and Satan’s “relationship”
So, how can Satan POSSIBLY have any type of idea the PATTERNS of God? Well, Ezekiel 28:14 makes it clear that Satan was not just a regular angel.
“You were the anointed cherub who covers;
I established you;
You were on the holy mountain of God;
You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.
15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,
Till iniquity was found in you.”
Satan, or Lucifer, as he was called in Heaven was highly respected and beautiful. God thought a lot of him, and gave him access to things that may not had been accessible to others. That was until iniquity was found in him. Satan wanted to be ABOVE God, but tried his best to imitate Him.
IMITATIONS ISN’T THE REAL THING. Satan was able to convince one-third of the angels in Heaven to rebel against God through imitation, and they ultimately, gave up the real thing. After being dismissed from Heaven, along with one-third of the angels, Satan has made it prime agenda to take your life. In the meantime, he’s content with making it miserable.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
So, what does this all mean???
You need to know what you’re up against. You’re up against a sneaky, immoral, angry, jealous ENEMY. You need to know why he’s so persistent on attacking every part of your life, the people in it and your destiny. He’s angry that he lost everything. When Jesus was born, He became everything that Satan once was. That’s another reason why he fought Jesus so hard during Him 40 day fast, before the start of His earthly ministry. Satan thought if he could detour Him from this mission, He won’t be able to carry out the plan to rid the world from sin. The same sin that was done through him in the Garden of Eden.
He even tried to tempt Jesus again when it pertained to US! When Jesus was in the garden about to be arrested, Satan tried to persuaded Jesus to not go through with His crucifixion. Satan is also jealous of the fact that he was replaced by God’s son and us. He’s also very prideful. He lost everything that was given to him because he tried to exalt himself over God. We are dealing with a ruthless enemy.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you, and not harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”
I believe that is one of my all time favorite scriptures because it let me know no matter how I felt in tough moments or when I wasn’t sure of what God was doing, I could always trust that His PLAN was all for my good, and He had everything under control. As long as I stayed focus on Him, i could count on the fact that my future was already established.
Satan can’t mess with an already established PLAN, no matter how of God’s PATTERN he may know. So, remain hopeful in God who’s able to cover us and not only knows the PLAN, but has control of it.
